*effects exposure (light/dark) and quality (graininess) of photo*
Directions:
Use a tripod to take 8 photos of the same scene. Each photo will require a ISO setting change.
*2 ways to do this assignment
adjust ISO and exposure every time (all photos properly exposed - very easy to show the graininess effect)
adjust exposure for ISO 800 and only change ISO for each other photo to show how ISO effects light sensitivity.....dark to light example)
These are the ISO options we have (D3000 cameras only have 1-6 settings)
100
200
400
800
1600
HI/3200
HI 2/6400
12800
Use Photoshop to combine your photos into 1 photo that has strips from each of the 8 so you can compare how the exposure and/or graininess change because of this setting.
Create a Photoshop file to compare your pictures:
File > New
Set up your canvas to 16" tall x 20" wide
Load Stacked Photos
Crop your Photos to a ?" x 4" size (300 Resolution)
Copy them to the New Canvas
Leave a 1" margin on all 4 sides and .5" between photos
Add text under each photo to label the shutter speeds
Text tool is a capital T symbol on the left side of the screen
