panorama
Directions:
Shoot a minimum of 6 photos to "stitch" together in Photoshop to create a 180° panoramic image. Yes, your smart phone will do this automatically, but this is a Photoshop exercise, so you get to do it the old fashion fun way. Use the Transform tools to align image elements and the eraser tool to blend the overlap together. You may need to adjust (Image/Adjustments) the Hue and Saturation, Color Balance and or Levels to match the contrast and color which may change from image to image across the 180° panorama.
Tips:
!DO NOT TAKE PICTURES FOR PANORAMA IN HALLWAYS!
-Commons and Library are also challenging-
+Outdoor Panoramas tend to turn out the best+
> Set up a NEW canvas of 8" tall x 60" wide x 300p/i
> Size all your photos to 8" tall x ? x 300p/i (width doesn't matter)
> Bring your photos into your new canvas
> Photos should OVERLAP 1/4 to 1/2 of the previous picture - NO MORE THAN 1/2
> Work from one side to the other.
> When done, crop the whole thing down to 6" tall x ? x 300p/i (width will be however wide it happens to be)
[] When setting up the overlap, turn down the opacity of the picture on top to help you align
The 2 main tools used in Panorama:
[] Edit Menu > Transform > Warp Tool
[] Image Menu > Adjustments > Exposure (Maybe Brightness/Contrast too)
[] Use the Erase tool to soften the edge of where the overlap occurs
> Adjust the size of the eraser as needed
> Set the Hardness to 0
> Turn the Opacity down to 30%
