For this project you will shoot 5 different "objects" for your subjects. Each object will appear to be a letter of the alphabet. You will create a word of 5 characters minimum using the individual "letter" photos. Here's what you may NOT use as letters: No letter is just a photo of an actual letter, floor or ceiling pattern, parking lot/street line, crack in the sidewalk/street, seam in concrete or brick wall, shadow only, or any 2D object. Each image should be a three dimensional object (Height, width and depth). You may use an object's shadow in "conjunction with" the object to make a letter.
*Photo Tips: > The letters should be EASILYidentified (background clutter can often ruin a good letter)
> Don't forget about good exposure and focus!
Photoshop Tips: > make a canvas 8"tall x 48"wide (we will crop off the unused space on the right end) > 300 resolution > leave a small white space between each letter
*modify each letter picture to be 300 resolution and 6" tall - the width does not matter. Then drag and drop it into your file that has the Word Canvas set up.
Leave a little white space between each photo and on all 4 sides
See if you can read the words below.......if it's easy to read it will score well....if you can't figure it out, it probably isn't very good and therefore will get a bad grade.
